Defining our workforce

New Zealand Police recognise the contributions and commitment made my members of the NZ Defence Force Reserves and Cadet Forces to all communities, and as an employer of those people NZ Police support our staff in undertaking these roles and providing community support.

Defence People work with the NZDF in a number of different ways. They may be a current serving member as a reservist or cadet force officer, they may have been one of our youth programme graduates or former serviceperson.
